I know it has been a while since I’ve posted. I’ve been very busy, but I do plan on getting back on top of this blog. Here is a quick preview of my shoot with Jessie Franchebois… A few of my favorites.

I had the opportunity today to visit some very close friends of mine John Ray and Alesha Perkins. This visit was a bit different than some because I had the opportunity to meet the newest memeber of their little family Cecilia Elizabeth! She is such a beautiful little girl. I wanted to share a few images from my visit. You can read up on Cecilia, Jay and the Perkins family on John Ray’s blog HERE.
Enjoy!
This wallpaper is an image of the Salk Institute for Biological Studies in La Jolla, Ca. designed by Louis I. Kahn.
Image was shot with film on a Leica M6.
I hope you enjoy it!

The other day I was playing around with lights and just doing some test setups. I decided to text Rebecca and tell her that I have taken over the kitchen and be prepared for it when she got home from work. Needless to say you couldn’t really walk through the house because of my monstrosity of a setup in the kitchen. When they got home I wanted to take a few family portraits from a different perspective as opposed to the ones you see everyday. Well… Here is what I ended up with. Enjoy!
These are cool, I really like the shot of Rebecca.
These are unique shots of each you. Good work, you have a beautiful family. :)
subtle but deadly….nice work! hot wife!
Rebecca is smokin!
Gangsta to the core! lol… nice family photos!!!

Thanks guys! She is smoken hot isn’t she!!!
It is so evident that I had nothing to do with my children’s looks especially their noses:) Thanks for all the sweet comments–it gives me just a little more courage to let my husband shoot me!!!

A couple of months back I did a shoot for Artesia in Lafayette for their upcoming marketing campaign. The shoot was amazing! The talent that worked with were diehards for putting up with us for such a long day. I’m excited that I finally get to share a few images from the shoot. Images were used in print, online, and billboard marketing.
Enjoy!
Once again, Jamie your work is very impressive! Love the shots!!!

This past weekend I had the opportunity to spend the day shooting with Joia Farmer in Casper, Wyoming. The location was absolutely beautiful! Joia will be releasing a new album soon and wanted to use these images for the album as well as other promotional material.
I have to admit… Joia was a trooper! I pushed her till she didn’t want to go anymore and then some. I think it was well worth it though. I ended up getting the sunset shot I was looking for. We were on top of the mountain and the wind must have been blowing 60mph and the wind chill had to be in the teens. Other than that and nearly rolling the truck on the side of the mt. i think everything went really smooth.
Here are a few of my favorites: Enjoy!
5 different kinds of awesome! Great shots!
Jamie, these look great! I really love the first and last, all are awesome though!
I love the sunset one and the one with all the snow. I’m glad you got to see Wyoming
Jamie- these are beautiful. Really.
You impress me more and more each season…
WOW!…. 1 & 2 are phenominal! The sunset, the coloring with her outfit everything is breathtaking and Joia walking through the Aspens is my favorite.
That first one is freaking sweet. Nice shots man!
so I am a bit jealous I love the settings in these pictures wish I could have took pictures of them also!!!

This summer I had the opportunity to spend some time on a mission trip which was local here in the US. I shot stills and captured audio interviews of both participants and recipients.
Here is the video I put together for the end of that week:
RISE (Rising In Service to Everyone) is a weeklong overnight work retreat program designed to teach young people to live a Christ-centered life of service. Over the course of a week, teams of high school youth will visit select worksites in the community and spend the day doing repairs, painting, yard work, clean-up, etc.
Very well done. Wish I could have been there this year!
wow! not sure what to say but wow!
its amazingggg i could watch it over and over and still get choked up everytime!
what an awesome experience to be a part of! great job of capturing the week!
looks great man
Awesome

TOKYO – Nikon Corporation is pleased to announce the introduction of its newest FX-format digital SLR flagship for fast response and high light sensitivity: the Nikon D3S.
Standing on the shoulders of the world-renowned D3, the D3S takes the potential of Nikon’s proprietary FX format to incredible new levels designed to meet or exceed a professional’s high standards. The D3S delivers ISO 200 to ISO 12800 as standard, with the excellent noise control and wide dynamic range that the D3 is famous for. This provides photographers of any discipline with additional latitude to achieve quality images in most lighting situations. When needed, ISO sensitivity can be expanded from Lo 1 (ISO 100 equivalent) up to Hi 3 (ISO 102400 equivalent), making a significant difference in extremely low-lit shooting scenarios and other situations where faster shutter speeds or more depth of field is required.
In a first for an FX-format flagship, the D3S incorporates the HD-quality D-Movie function, letting users take full advantage of the wide dynamic range and high ISO performance, including the breakthrough High-Sensitivity Movie mode. The D3S’s D-Movie also offers compatibility with an external stereo recording microphone, as well as convenient in-camera editing functions such as the ability to select the starting or ending points in order to trim D-Movie footage, as well as the option to save selected movie frames as JPEGs. The D3S shoots approximately 9-frames-per-second high-speed continuous shooting in FX format and 11 fps in DX format, with a buffer twice the size of the D3’s. These features, along with a 0.04-second* shutter release time lag and improved AF accuracy work seamlessly for lightning-fast responses. Various improvements in ergonomics, operation, and reliability, such as image sensor cleaning, will help photographers focus on shooting under any conditions. When combined with state-of-the-art NIKKOR lenses and the Nikon Total Imaging System, which includes Nikon Speedlights, wireless transmitters and various software, the D3S delivers exceptional quality and versatility for an unprecedented variety of professional and personal assignments.
