The guys there were so eager to share their story in hopes to set an example and prove that there is hope in the darkest of moments in life.

This documentary project was shot over a 1 and 1/2 Day period and edited overnight for the Veritas retreat.  I haven’t tweaked anything since the first rough edit, but wanted to get something up.

This was all shot with the Nikon D7000 in mostly very low light conditions with very high ISO Ranges.

Shot hand held with Nikon 24-70mm f2.8 in all natural light. I was actually really impressed!

James Charles stood in for me as my test subject.  Maybe I should have cleaned up his face and his runny nose, or even taken the candy out of his mouth, but hey… Its a raw test ;)

I spent the week shooting alongside Daniel Kedinger who also produced a separate video as well.  This video was shot all on the Nikon D3 for stills with short motion clips shot on the Nikon d90.  Audio was captured with the Zoom H4N.  It was a fun week.  Check out the video.
