Ok… So this post is not a poem or a song dedicated to Kodachrome, but I did want to do a quick post to simply remember Kodachrome. Kodachrome was a brilliant film that was produced for nearly 75 years. You may recall Steve McCurry‘s photo of the “Afghan Girl” with the stunning eyes shot for National Geographic Magazine… Shot with Kodachrome. It has since been discontinued and the last location in the world to process the film stopped its development of Kodachrome this past December 30th. Dwayne’s Photo was the last place in the world to process Kodachrome and I was fortunate to have a couple of old rolls which I shot with my Leica M6 and had Dwayne’s process for me. These images were a few of my favorites from those rolls.
Camera: Leica M6
Film: Kodachrome
Enjoy!
Image was shot with film on a Leica M4.
I hope you enjoy it!

James Charles has officially ROCKED his first year in school. Don’t forget about those first day of school pics! Pre-K is officially over and was a huge success. We will definitely miss the teachers he had this year, but I’m sure we will have great ones next year as well. I just wanted to share an image I took of him this past year in front of an amazing truck full of hood ornaments. Great job James Charles! Here’s to Summer!!!
Image taken with Leica M6.
Here are some scans of the Salk Institute that I shot last year in San Diego, Ca. I posted one of the images as a wallpaper a while back, but I’ve never posted any of the actual images. These were all shot on a Leica M6.
Enjoy!
Last week I had the opportunity to spend a few days with the Sisters of Our Lady of Sorrows order in Shreveport, La. These ladies had such an amazing spirit and joy about their lives. The images are going to be used in conjunction with their new website design by Crucé which will be launching within the next month or so. I was honored to be a part of it along with Jason Cohen. The sisters were from all over the world and spoke many different languages which was really fun to hear and interesting to translate.
The first couple of images were shot with the Nikon D3 and the rest were shot on the Leica M8.
Enjoy!
I guess I can’t really call these “monthly” desktop wallpapers. It was a great idea or a bit, but the reality of having the time to actually post them every month is a bit far fetched. Anyway… I do intend on keeping it up, but it just might not be on a “monthly” basis.
This particular image is in black and white because it was shot with film on a Leica M6.
I hope you enjoy it!

I had so many little wonderful experiences while I was in the Bahamas. One of the best parts was meeting and visiting with the locals. This gentleman was running a fruit stand with so many great native fruits. We must have spent 45 minutes just visiting and trying diffrent fruit. It was here that I was first introduced to “sugar apples”. I’m not one to really try crazy things, but it was really good. I can still imagine the unique taste. Anyway… Here are a few shots.
Enjoy!

Just wanted to share a few shots from one evening in San Diego. Enjoy!

Several weeks back I spent the day in Miami with Jason Cohen. We met up with Riccis Valladares to hang and shoot for a bit. Here are a few shots from my street experience in Miami. Enjoy!
